Fountain of Love This is one of my favorites, not because of the great difficulty, only because it looked so crisp. |

Hearts & Roses This was my first attempt using fondant and serving 300 plus. |

Tying the Knot Learned a lot on this cake. Assembling a cake this size at the reception hall requires a lot of time. |

50th Anniversary with Scrolls This was a lot of fun to do. The scrolls were easy to do and setting it up was fun also. I made the topper because I couldn't find one that I liked. |

Golden Roses for a Golden Anniversary A lot of roses, but by the time I was done, I had no problem making roses. I made this topper also. |

Pink Gum Paste Roses I loved these roses and leaves. Was not pleased with the icing job. The bride did not want fondant or a border. I have since learned about using Viva paper towels to smooth the icing. This method not only smoothes the icing, but you can also round the edges to make it look a lot like fondant. I spent about 40 hours making the roses and leaves. Although the picture does not show how delicate they were, the petals were not any thicker than real rose petals. |

The Winner This was the cake I made for my final Wilton's Course III. I won first place. I was so proud. The design was my own in that I used a different decoration method on each level and then had white petunia cascading down the tiers. |
